After two weeks of testing, feedback, and improvements based on the 2.2 RC (release candidate), the RC2 is now ready for manual download and testing in your account at http://my.bricksbuilder.io/, before we will release the final Bricks 2.2 shortly after for everyone.
Here are the highlights of this RC2 release.
Style Manager improvements
The Style Manager popup can be toggled fullscreen using the icon in the top-right. From there you can also toggle the canvas preview. Resizing the canvas preview is possible by dragging the canvas preview border. Canvas preview & sizing work independent for every Style Manager tab.
The canvas preview supports hover and click events.
You can navigate through the different Style Manager tabs using your keyboard by pressing the corresponding number (e.g., “1” for Theme Styles, “2” for Classes, etc.). We moved the tab title into a tooltip to preserve valuable screen space.
Color Control improvements
The new color control lets you access the color picker, color palettes, variable & dynamic data picker all with a single click instead of hiding those controls within a popup.
Switching between color formats (HSL, RGB, HEX) and changing the color value also converts the color value as expected according to the currently selected color format.
Preview on hover overhaul
We completely rewrote the new Class, Color & Variable preview on hover that we introduced in the 2.2 RC. I’d be great if you could help test the new solution, which now also works for preview on hover in loops, components and all nested controls such as background, spacing, typography, border, and box-shadow.
